If you are a foodie like me, then you know the importance of having the right tools in your kitchen. After many years of trial and error, I have found the best tools to stock my kitchen.

These are the best products I could find within my budget and the ones that I use on a weekly, and sometimes on a daily basis.

I like to make everything in my life simple and I don’t want a bunch of gadgets around that are hard to use or I only use once or twice a year. I love products that perform multiple functions because firstly they save me money from buying multiple products and secondly, they take up less space.

Crock Pot:

I love my crock pot, especially when the weather turns cold and I want to eat soups and chili’s every single day.

Sometimes I don’t have a lot of time to prepare a meal and with a crockpot I can just load it up with ingredients, set the timer, and forget about it until delicious yummy smells float through my house.

My favorite new crock pot is the Crock-Pot Cook and Carry which is super awesome because it has a locking lid that doesn’t pop off it you have to travel with your crock pot. I recently took mine to work for a pot luck and man did it not spill a drop, but everyone wanted one of their own.

 

Stock pot:

If I am not using my crock pot to cook with, I am making soup in my stock pot. I think every kitchen needs a 6-8 quart stock pot. Even if I am cooking a little less, I love the high sides so that when I stir, nothing splashes out.

I actually have about 5-6 different stock pots in my kitchen right now, but my favorite is always my Cuisinart 6 quart stock pot.

Mandoline:

Probably one of my favorite tools is my mandoline. If you have never used a mandoline, get one and I swear you will use it several times a week.

I am all about kitchen hacks and my mandoline is a part of my time saving plan. I can slice a bunch of veggies at once at different sized slices and shapes.

Food Processor:

Every kitchen needs a food processor. It makes prep time so much faster and easier. I use mine weekly for hummus alone.

My favorite is the Hamilton Beach 12 cup Stack and Snap Food Processor. I love its size, how sturdy the base is, the push button speed controls, and the chopping options.

Another added bonus is that the lid snaps in place instead of needing to be twisted and lined up perfectly.

 

Blender:

I love the Ninja Blending System. I got my first one three years ago and fell in love. I have the one that has interchangeable blending and processing options.

This is my favorite. It comes with a regular sized blender, two single serve blender cups for on the go, and an attachment for a food processor. The processor bowl is 8 cups so is a great use when I don’t need to use my larger sized food processor.

This blender has some major power too. I know it’s going to blend my cashews or ice completely.

Spiralizer:

You know all those recipes you have been seeing that use zucchini as noodle? Well using a spiralizer is going to get you those noodles super quick.

This is something I have been using for years now. Every year I have a ton of zucchini from my garden, so I get out my spiralizer and turn my zucchini into noodles. They are easy to freeze when they are in their noodle form as well.

I started out using a handheld spiralizer, but have since upgraded to this one, Spiralizer 7 Blade Vegetable Slicer with a handle. It has 7 different blades for different sized and shaped slices.

Mixers:

For hand mixers, I stick with my Kitchen aid hand mixer. It has been useful in mixing up batters and dough that needs a higher mixing speed than I can do by hand. I like my Kitchen Aid hand mixer because of the ease of switching between the 5 speeds and the beaters pop out easy for quick clean up.

Plus, they have a ton of different colors, so I was able to pick my favorite color, but you can also match it up to your kitchen color story.

 

 

I finally got a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer last year and I love it. People were always telling me I needed one, but they aren’t cheap, so I held off. I started to make a lot more bread at home and got into baking and I finally realized how much easier life would be with one. I don’t regret getting my Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer. I use it usually at least once a week.

This one you can pick a ton of colors from too. Mine matches my hand mixer.

 

Knife Set:

I use two different knives more than any other in my kitchen: my paring knife and my chef’s knife.

I love this set of three knifes by J.A. Henkel’s, each has their specific use, 1 paring, 1 vegetable, and one for peeling. I use my paring knife for peeling, chopping herbs, slicing up veggies, really just about anything I don’t need my larger chef’s knife for.

 

The chef knife I use is my second most used in my kitchen next to my paring knife. I am really liking the Imarku Pro Kitchen 8 inch Chef’s Knife. The handle fits well in the hand, the blade is extra tough since it contains 0.3% carbon. I will use this to chop, dice, slice, and cut anything I need to. It’s especially nice for long cuts.

Meal Prep Kit:

Meal planning is something I have been trying to implement more and more. It makes it easier for me to keep to a healthy meal plan. I always have a meal ready to go so I don’t have to compromise for an unhealthy convenience food.

I like to use glass containers because if I am going to heat my food up, I don’t want to heat it up in a plastic container. Most containers now say they are BPA free and safe for the microwave, but I just feel safer with glass.

I use these glass containers that are divided and one’s that have a single compartment.

Vegetable Steamer:

I bet you steam a lot of vegetables like me. I like using the double boiler like system of the Oyster Hali Steamer Set.

I eat a lot of veggies in one sitting so I can fill this steamer up and still have all my vegetables steamed without the ones in the middle being undercooked.

 

 

Rice Cooker:

I have a gas stove so sometimes I feel like my rice either isn’t cooked enough or the water cooks out too fast and I am left with burnt rice at the bottom.

I started using a rice cooker when I was first given one. It changed my rice game. Now, I will cook several days’ worth of rice at once. I just measure out my rice and liquid, put it into my rice cooker, set the timer and that’s it. I forget about it until my rice is done.

What I love about the Aroma Housewares 8 cup rice cooker is that there is a setting for white rice or brown rice since these two grains cook differently.

Instant Pot:

I can’t believe I haven’t heard about this gadget before. Now that I am aware of it, I see recipe posts using the Instant Pot everywhere. It’s like a community of instant pot users that have developed recipes just for their instant pots. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a following.

The Instant Pot is like the one gadget that does it all. I like the 10 in one model. The Instant pot is a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, steamer, yogurt maker, cake maker, egg cooker, Sauté’, warmer, and sterilizer.

This is a great option for those who don’t have a lot of space or wants to buy one gadget and that’s it.
